We’ve got a problem here!

You may have noticed a new trend – Himalayan chew sticks for dental care. Unfortunately, these sticks are not suitable for dogs’ teeth. They’re just as hard as antlers, and just as dangerous.

This poor pup was given one of these sticks, which ended up fracturing his upper right premolar – a strategic tooth for chewing. Since the fracture was more than 48 hours old, we proceeded with endodontic treatment and performed a trapezoidal flap procedure.

Remember:
If you can’t bend it with your hands, it doesn’t belong in your dog’s mouth! 🦷
